Palácio do Governador - the governor’s palace2015-10-26 13:35:31
The 5 star Palácio do Governador is built on top of roman ruins derived from the 1st to the 5th century, on the site of the former house of the governor of the Tower of Belém. The lobby reception is located in the former chapel.
With 60 rooms near the Tagus river in the historic centre of Belém, including 3 luxurious suites, the rooms of this Lisbon hotel reflect a modern style with historical details.
The genuine historic value is revealed in each of the five floors of the hotel and no rooms are alike, with different styles and original paneled ceilings of the 17th century, although all rooms and suites are equipped with what is expected from a modern hotel, like air conditioning, hair dryer, LCD TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi.
The Palácio do Governador’s restaurant is run by famous chef André Lança Cordeiro
